Welcome to JJ's Diner

JJ's Diner brings authentic American diner food to the heart of Auckland. Think juicy smash burgers, snappy hot dogs, crispy fries, and all the sides you've been dreaming of - served up with a healthy dose of '50s nostalgia. We're currently serving out of 86A Hendon Avenue in Mount Albert, open Wednesday through Saturday from 4pm to 10pm, with an anticipated dedicated diner location coming in 2026. This isn't fast food. This is diner food. Made fresh, made right, made with love.

The Detroit Dog, aka The Coney Dog, aka The Chili Cheese Dog, it doesn't matter how you name it, the toppings stay the same: Chili, Cheese, Mustard, and Onions. The most classic of dogs, the one our founder grew up eating as a kid back in New York. We don't mess around with our chili either, 80/20 steak mince cooked perfectly, paired with caramelised onions, fire roasted red peppers, tomatoes, and our secret JJ's spice blend that keeps you coming back for more. Topped with Rico's Mexican Nacho Cheese, Al Brown's Habanero Mustard, and diced onions, all on a toasted buttery fluffy white hot dog roll.
